TAUNTON Town manager Gary Domone has been impressed by his side's first two friendly performances.

Town travelled to Clyst Rovers on Monday, July 17th, and scored freely to win 6-2.

Two goals came from Alexis Piper, and the others from Loris Ghiglia, Chris Wright, Marc Harding and Andy Springer.

The following night, a stronger side travelled to Conference South side Weston-super-Mare and were beaten 2-1.

Matt Fisher opened the scoring for Weston after just three minutes before Jay Barton equalised from the spot after 26. But it was John Williams who hit the home side's winner just before the hour.

Taunton continue their warm-up with a visit to Frome on Tuesday, July 25th.
