WATCHET youngster Karl Lewis has been selected for the England Fly Fishing Youth Team.
The 15-year-old West Somerset Community College student qualified after entering the England Fly Fishing Association Championships at Grafham Lake, near Cambridge.
Strong blustery winds meant conditions were tough and half the lake was closed.
Karl fished with a floating line and small flies for the whole day and managed to catch three fish which was enough for him to qualify for the England side for next season.
Karl will now take part in training days in the closed season to get ready for matches which take place when the new season starts next March.
