YEOVIL Town have confirmed that former Northampton Town midfielder Alistair Slowe has signed a contract with the Glovers.

Manager Terry Skiverton told the BBC that Slowe, 22, had signed a ‘development contract’ with the club and that he would be working closely with the Glovers’ other youth team graduates Rob Clowes, Lewis Clarke and Rhys Baggridge.

“We’ve got Alistair in on a development contract,” said Skiverton.

“He’ll be with the likes of Rob Clowes, Lewis Clarke and Rhys Baggridge and that young players that we’re having a looking at.”

But Skiverton, speaking about Slowe’s chances of getting into the first-team, added: “It’s going to take time because there are aspects that he has got to work on, like all of the development players have got to.

“But we’ll be seeing them hopefully try to push for a place in our first-team squad.”
